THE TRILLIUM AWARD OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS OF CHRIO


CHRIO has created “The Trillium Award of the Human Rights” inspired in the spirit of the Human Rights Defenders.

CHRIO through the Trillium Award of Human Rights defenders looks to exalt and encourage the silent work that the human rights defenders. In their work they must regularly confront persecution, intimidation,
resistance, violence and some are faced with arbitrary detention and/or death threats.

To these generous defenders that persevere with their special courage in difficult conditions, recognizing the importance of their work and their dedication is an important commitment for us.

 CHRIO is going to release an award each year to one the defenders of human rights, CHRIO will give the Trillium of Human Rights as an honorable recognition of their work.

CHRIO observes with profound concern that each day there are victims of human rights violations an irregular situation in many countries. People that live in inhuman conditions and keeping in mind that the majority of the countries have adhered to the declarations and treaties of the rights of man.

We will provide more detail information about this award in short-term time.
